Sustainability – The Wellbeing Summit, Bilbao

Nicky Ure/UreCulture is part of the Expert Member Team of the non-profit organisation The Wellbeing Project. The Wellbeing Project is a global initiative co-created with Ashoka, Esalen, Impact Hub, Porticus, the Skoll Foundation and Synergos. Their work catalyses a culture of inner wellbeing for all changemakers.They do this through individual and organisational programs, research, global and regional learning communities and storytelling.

The Wellbeing Summit for Social Change 2022 took place in Bilbao in April 2022, was attended by 1,000 people and involved the participation of 201 artists, including Miroslaw Balka, Janet Cardiff and Nikhil Chopra. TWBS is a global initiative with the aim to catalyse a culture of inner wellbeing for all changemakers.

UreCulture  provided advice and contractual support for the public art installations. UreCulture also developed a sustainability framework for this first edition of The Wellbeing Summit 2022.  These are the project highlights:

– Carbon and Water Footprint: Comprehensive environmental audit across 14 venues, 18 art installations/exhibitions and travel and accommodation of all summit attendees (see Footprint section in the Sustainability Report)
