TBA21 Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary is an international art and advocacy foundation created in 2002 by the philanthropist and collector Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza. TBA21 is based in Madrid, with projects in Venice and Cordoba, it stewards the TBA21 Collection and its outreach activities, which include exhibitions, educational offers, and public programming and TBA21–Academy is the foundation’s research center.
UreCulture has worked on the TBA21 2019 baseline environmental footprint, including carbon and water, which will become one of the starting points of their new regeneration strategy. The footprint work included establishing the mapping and framework to measure carbon across the entire organisation, and its exhibitions, programmes and research across 13 countries. The footprint results were presented in an executive report supported by carbon data and analysis.
