Karen has worked in the culture sector since 2018 and is specialised in cultural management and communication in the non-profit and private sector.

In her previous position, as a cultural manager in Fundación Casa de México en España, she collaborated in the design, planning and installation of over 20 art exhibitions with leading artists and curators from Mexico, and was responsible for the collection Grandes Maestros del Arte Popular Mexicano. Before that, she worked in communications and marketing in FCME, in the Mexican company URREA and with various start-ups and SMEs as an independent consultant.

Karen holds a Master degree in Cultural Management from La Fábrica, a Master degree in Corporate Communications from Instituto de Empresa, a Certificate in Introduction to Curating from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and a degree in Communications from Tec de Monterrey.
